The region has conserved part of its ancient musical tradition represented by the "Cuadrillas de Ánimas" and the coplas of "Rosario de la Aurora".
The former are performed by groups, usually of men, who play in the main fiestas.
The coplas de campanilleros are very widespread in all of Andalusia and in Murcia. Their essential role was to call people to the prayers of the rosary. During the festival of the patron saint, Saint Isidoro, the bell players would pass through the village at dawn to wake the villagers. A man sings the old traditional coplas alone, and a larger group of singers repeat the chorus.
Other celebrations of interest include the "misas de gozo" (a mass with songs to honour the Virgin), a few days before Christmas, and the Lumbre de San Antón, on the 16th of January.
